Changing the shape of one’s nose requires a high degree of trust in your plastic surgeon. An experienced surgeon can alter the size and shape of the tip, bridge, and nostrils to best complement your features.

At your consultation, Dr. Marchant will take a photograph of your nose, facing forward and in profile. After an extensive discussion about what you do and do not like about your nose, Dr. Marchant will “morph” your photographs with our imaging software to help create an individualized plan for your rhinoplasty surgery. Because the shape of the nose can dramatically alter the appearance of your face, Dr. Marchant will make sure he thoroughly understands your expected results before proceeding with treatment.

During surgery, Dr. Marchant will make an incision across the base of the nose. Dr. Marchant will then reshape the bone and cartilage until the desired nose shape for the patient’s face is achieved. Dr. Marchant can reduce or increase overall nose size, remove a hump, alter the angle of the nose, and change the shape of the tip, bridge, and nostrils in accordance with your desired look. All of the structural strength and function of your nose will be preserved.

Immediately following surgery, you will need to wear a nasal splint to protect your newly reshaped nose. After several weeks, initial swelling subsides and bruising disappears allowing you to feel more confident about yourself in social situations and photographs.
